There comes a moment in life where you pause and quietly ask yourself: Am I really okay?
Not the kind of “okay” you say when someone casually asks how you’ve been, but the deeper kind. The kind where you sit with your thoughts and wonder if your heart still feels whole.
Lately, I’ve been reflecting on that question myself.
Life has been moving forward, and in many ways I’m grateful for where I am. But if I’m being honest, there’s still a part of me that feels like it’s trying to find its balance again after heartbreak.
I don’t think I’m fully healed yet. I’m still figuring things out and learning how to get back on my feet.
But tarot has always helped me understand moments like this a little more clearly.
Sometimes the cards mirror exactly where we are in our lives—even when we’re still in the middle of the healing process.
The Tower: When Things Fall Apart
One tarot card that has always stood out to me is The Tower.
At first glance, it looks dramatic. The imagery shows a tower being struck by lightning and crumbling apart. In tarot readings, it often represents sudden change, upheaval, or the collapse of something we thought was stable.
But The Tower isn’t always about destruction.
Sometimes it represents truth.
It reminds us that certain structures in our lives—relationships, beliefs, expectations—may have already been unstable long before they finally fell apart.
Heartbreak can feel exactly like that. Like the ground beneath you shifted without warning.
But The Tower also clears space.
Even if you’re still standing in the rubble, it doesn’t mean rebuilding isn’t possible.
The Star: Learning How to Heal
After The Tower in tarot comes The Star, a card that carries a much gentler energy.
The Star represents healing, hope, and reconnecting with yourself after a difficult period. But healing doesn’t always happen overnight.
Sometimes it looks like taking things one day at a time. Some days feel lighter, while others remind you that the process is still ongoing.
For me, The Star feels like a reminder that it’s okay to still be in the middle of healing.
You don’t have to rush yourself.
Hope can exist even while you're still piecing things together.
The Fool: Taking the Next Step
Another card that often appears after difficult chapters in life is The Fool.
The Fool represents new beginnings and stepping forward into the unknown. It’s the energy of starting again—even when you don’t fully know what the future holds.
Right now, I think I’m somewhere between The Star and The Fool.
Still healing, but slowly learning how to move forward.
The Fool doesn’t require you to be fearless. It simply asks you to take the next step.
Even a small one.
Finding Yourself Again
Heartbreak can leave you questioning many things: your choices, your path, even parts of yourself.
But tarot reminds us that life moves in cycles.
There are moments of collapse.
Moments of healing.
And eventually, moments of new beginnings.
I’m still in that process of finding my way again. And maybe that’s the most honest part of this journey.
Sometimes healing isn’t about suddenly feeling whole again.
Sometimes it’s just about giving yourself the space and grace to keep going.
One step at a time.
